Workplace Learning:READY (WPL:READY) Mark

Workplace Learning:READY (WPL:READY) Mark

The WPL:READY Mark is part of the Workplace Skills Recognition (WPSR) Programme^ that provides a guide for companies that want to begin building a sustainable workplace learning culture where people are working and learning productively and effectively.

Attaining the WPL:READY Mark will enable employers to fast-track skills assessment and help their workers gain formal recognition of the skills they have developed at the workplace efficiently. This saves business downtime and training costs as workers need not undergo external training to obtain the skills certifications.

Benefits of the WPL:READY Mark

The above programme was announced at the Committee of Supply in February 2023: Workplace Skills Recognition (WPSR) Programme. Since then, many employees in WPL:READY Mark companies have been assessed for skills at their workplaces and successfully attained their WSQ qualification quickly, with less operational disruptions. Hear about their successes using this link.

WPSR started off with the PWM Sectors - Food Services and Retail in June 2023. Starting from 1 March 2024, it is open to all other sectors.

^The Workplace Skills Recognition (WPSR) programme aims to help enterprises, particularly SMEs, build a foundation in workplace learning and recognise skills trained at the workplace.
